PAT DAWSON

In May 2022 Pat Dawson retired after serving 42 years in the chemical industry. 35 of those years were with The Dow Chemical Company where he helda variety of roles in sales, marketing, manufacturing, and international business. Dawson had two stints in Asia living in Hong Kong 6 years and 4years in Shanghai where he was the President and CEO of Dow Asia Pacific from 2009 through 2013. Responsibilities included over 8,000 people and$10.2B in revenues spread across 12 countries and 52 manufacturing facilities in Asia.

Dawson was named Executive Vice President of Olin Corporation and President, Epoxy and Olin International in October 2015 when Olin acquired the globalEpoxy and Chlorine Derivative businesses from Dow. He added responsibilities for Corporate Strategy in 2019. He played a key role in helping lead Olin toall-time records of profitability and critical talent retention during his 7 year tenure at Olin.

Pat received a BS in agronomy in 1979 and master’s degree in agricultural economics/management from Purdue University in 1980. He has served on theboards of Siam Cement JV in Thailand, Junior Achievement, Purdue Athletics, Director Advisory Board, Midland Baseball Foundation, and the Society of theChemical Industry.

A father of five, Pat enjoys skiing, travel, music, sports, learning and attempting to stay relevant. He and his wife live in Ladue, Missouri.
